Aspen is the chicest ski resort in the United States: Colorado, jet-set, eye-watering prices (200-2000$/night), 4 mountains (Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Buttermilk, Highlands). July is my favourite month (9.2/10): 8-26°C, 25% rain, the right moment for the Aspen Music Festival (2 months of opera and classical) and hiking to the Maroon Bells (Colorado's most photographed peaks).
