Bariloche is the "little Argentine Switzerland": northern Patagonia, lakes and araucaria forests, chalet architecture. January is my favourite month (9.3/10): 10-24°C, 11% rain, 14h days, austral summer ideal for the Circuito Chico (65 km panoramic road), Cerro Catedral (summer lift, view over Nahuel Huapi), Refugio Frey (hike to the glacial lake).
