Our verdict

Capri, the chic island of the Bay of Naples: 10 km², 13,000 permanent inhabitants, 2.5 million visitors/year. July is my favourite month (9.6/10): 24-26°C, 5% rain, sea at 24°C, but also absolute crowd peak: ferries from Naples or Sorrento packed, hotel prices x4-x5 (palace hotels 1500-3000€/night).
