Sierra Nevada is Europe's southernmost ski resort and Spain's highest: Veleta summit 3398m, 30 km from Granada. July is my favourite month (9.3/10): 13-25°C, 13% rain, ideal sky for hiking to Mulhacén (3479m, the highest peak in mainland Spain).
