Ecuador, smallest Andean country: 18 million inhabitants on 109,300 sq miles crossed by the geographic equator (hence its name). 4 distinct regions: Sierra Andean, Costa Pacific, Oriente Amazonian, Galápagos . From July to September are my favorite months (7.6-7.7/10) at altitude: 45-66°F, 32-46% rain, this is the Andean dry season.
